I never thought of photography becoming a passion of mine. From a young age, the hassle of taking a photo felt more like a chore for me rather than something to look forward to. With my family barking out where to stand and how to pose ourselves, taking a photo was a long process that took away from my play time. Then during my young adult years, I began to work for a photo studio though it was not because I actively wanted to work there; I needed the job because I was struggling to support myself. Starting from making prints from the Noritsu, I slowly worked my way up in the studio to where I not only did the portraits within the studio, I also became their secondary wedding photographer. Even though this was a big moment in my career as a photographer, I still felt limited to what I could do in and out of the studio. So I had to look for other ways to find myself in photography, and it was then I realized that the world of fine art photography allowed me that freedom that I was looking for.
